Community regulations make possible to elaborate wines with geographical indication, provided that they have been obtained from certain varieties and that they come from a particular production area. In Spain, these wines are called “Vinos de la Tierra” ( Wines of the Region), and on their labels it is possible to find indications related to the different varieties, vintages and name of the wine growing holding, as well as natural conditions or techniques of the viticulture which gave rise to the wine.
