What is Don Quijote Convention Bureau?
The City Council of Ciudad Real has been part of the Spain Convention Bureau (SCB) since April 2008, a non-profit organization that brings together currently 56 congress cities.
The Quixote Convention Bureau, since its creation, has been responsible for bringing all the companies of our capital, which are more than 30 associates, in order to start a joint effort to attract conference and incentive trips to our city: such as hotels, restaurants, wineries, travel agencies, OPCs, sound and lighting companies, animation and theatre companies, catering companies etc. These associates will work together to offer a different and personalized product to each demand.
Ciudad Real is proposed as an ideal destination for holding congresses, events, fairs and meetings thanks to its privileged location in the centre of the peninsula. The excellent communications network, with the rest of the provinces, allows a quick access to our city by road or train (AVE) from any point of our geography.
An extensive network of infrastructures is made available to congress’s, so that to make the organization of events in our city easy, interesting and adapts to the expectations of our clients.
The University Campus, the University General Hospital, the train station and our hotels, with more than 1,000 beds and in 4-star accommodation, are part of the infrastructure of the city, without forgetting that our restaurants and bars provide a very tempting gastronomic offers to open and close any event.
For the celebration of meetings, institutional receptions and any other similar activities, in addition to the rooms of our hotels which are equipped with modern equipment, the City Council of Ciudad Real provides free of charge the use of municipal spaces in historic and emblematic buildings of our city.
