Carnival

In Ciudad Real, Carnival is mainly celebrated on Piñata Sunday, which is the most important day of the festival, and which has been declared an event of Regional Tourist Interest. The city fills with light and colour through the parade of floats prepared by local, provincial, regional and national groups throughout the year, as they march through the streets on Sunday morning and a part of the afternoon.

To accompany this celebration, different bars and restaurants in the city offer a delicious selection of cuisine based on traditional “spoon dishes”. The city’s pubs and nightclubs also contribute their liveliest ideas, filling the streets with music and entertainment.
