In Ciudad Real, different festivals are organised to celebrate this variety of cuisine, that dots its calendar throughout the year. Some of these events include:
The regional ham-cutter championship: The best cured ham cutters in the region will go to the Antiguo Casino de Ciudad Real, where visitors can taste their creations and find out who will be the best ham cutter in Castilla-La Mancha.

The Film-Inspired Nocturnal Snacks and Drinks Route: This celebration coincides with the Annual Castilla-La Mancha Film Festival. During it, the city offers different snacks and cocktails inspired by films at different bars and nocturnal establishments in the city.

Alphonsine Cuisine Days: during these days, Ciudad Real uses its cuisine to go back to the time of its founding, with dishes, tapas and servings inspired by 13th century cooking.
July

Pandorga: festival declared of Regional Tourist Interest, with the multitudinous Limoná Contest (July 30), with and without alcohol, and the popular invitation to limoná and puñao (roasted chickpeas) by the Pandorgo.
30th and 31st of July
Tapearte Ciudad Real: During this event, tapas dominate the local cuisine. The visitor will be able to enjoy excellent tapas paired with the best wines from the region, and will be able to vote for your favourite ones.

Different bars and establishments in the city
New Year’s “Migas” Festival: This celebration is centred around eating traditional migas or cooked breadcrumbs and is organised by the Federación de Peñas “Alarcos” of Ciudad Real.
