Los Remedios Chapel
The current building of Los Remedios Chapel dates back to 1664 and contains a single nave, with a floor in the form of a Greek cross and a hemispherical dome at its centre. It is home to the canonical seat of the Hermandad del Descendimiento, which marches every Easter on the afternoon of Holy Friday. The chapel used to belong to the former Hospital de la Pedrera, a 17th century hospital that was destroyed in 1640 due to its abandonment, although the chapel was subsequently rebuilt by the devout.
The building has undergone numerous restorations, one of the latest of which unearthed inscriptions from the end of the 18th century as well as three angels, all found on the main altar.
