Denomination of Origin Florentino
Pago Florentino wine is a red “pago” wine with a deep colour and mature fruit aromas which provokes a sensation of freshness in the mouth as a result of the early and greater maturity of the grape.
Finca La Solana consists of over 58 hectares of vineyard, located in the municipality of Malagón, region of which is part of the province of Ciudad Real, in Castilla-La Mancha, cultivated in the so-called estate “Bodegas y Viñedos la Solana”.
The vineyard is located on the foothills of the Sierra of Malagón facing south and protected from north winds. Thus, the vineyard is situated in La Solana and next to the natural lakes of Nava Grande and Nava Enmedio. Consequently, both maximum and minimum temperatures do not reach such extreme values as those in the surrounding area. Similarly, it is unlikely to find such a marked difference between maximum and minimum temperatures. This orientation and climatic conditions make the Tempranillo variety particularly early.
