Corpus Christi procession

The Most Blessed Sacrament goes on a procession throughout Ciudad Real in the afternoon of Corpus Christi Sunday, accompanied by a large number of believers, children making their first communion and members of the military orders, as the city’s cathedral has been the priory of the military orders since 1875. In addition, throughout the day, the city is dressed up its fanciest, with its streets covered by coloured sawdust carpets and altars.
